Autumn Beauty Sunflower Mix comes with sunflowers of yellow, orange, red, and burgundy. This variety provides a beautiful background border on which to create your flower garden. The Autumn Beauty variety is ideal as cut flowers to display in the home. The stalks of this mixture are known to be quite strong and able to withstand higher winds than other sunflower varieties. Mature height for this variety maxes out at about 6-7' tall. As with most sunflowers, the flowering period is August and September. Provide sunflowers with enough direct sunlight and moisture and they will return the favour with a spectacular show of flowers in fall time.
Growing sunflower from seed is very easy. Sunflower seeds should be directly sowed after the risk of frost is gone. In a prepared bed sow seeds 1" deep and cover. Water in and maintain moisture levels throughout the critical germination period. Remember sunflowers need a lot of water and sun throughout their growing life to reach their potential.
